This limited-edition Sprint Run™ expression of the Delica® 4 Lightweight showcases Carpenter® Technology’s Micro-Melt PD#1, an air-hardening, cold-work die steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. Its advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the CarTech® Micro-Melt powder metal process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure. Functionally equivalent to CPM® CRU-WEAR®, this high-performance steel is the heart of this knife’s full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade. To make this elite Delica 4 Lightweight even more distinctive, its blade is cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating and its fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle is injection molded in a deep burgundy color. Consistent with this stunning black-and-burgundy theme, its four-position pocket clip, lock bar, and handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.

Phenomenal

This was my first Delica and adept provided a great deal for this sprint run. I now understand what the Delica is a classic and some consider it the only one you need. I paired this with my crucarta PM2 and it’s a great one two punch with similar steels. The best steels in terms of all around in my opinion. It came scary sharp from factory, dead center, oiled for transport. Drops shut like a dream.
